Privacy notice

Mimove cares about individual privacy and protecting the personal data processed by us. All processing of personal data takes place in accordance with current data protection legislation.

Below we describe how we collect, process and share personal data.

Why do we need to collect personal data?

The main reason for collecting personal data is for us to fulfil our commitments to our customers and partners and to provide and improve our products and services.

Use of personal data

We process personal data that is provided to us, for example, when you sign up for our newsletter or use the contact form on MiMove.com to contact one of our Affiliated companies*.

We may also process data that has not been provided actively, for example, which language settings you have on your computer or smartphone, for us to know which language version of MiMove.com we should use when you visit us.

We may collect:

  • personal and contact information such as name, email address, mobile phone number
  • device-specific data such as IP address, language settings, and web browser settings

Enquiries

On MiMove.com, we offer numerous ways of contacting us and Affiliated companies through enquiry and contact forms.

Depending on which enquiry form you fill in, we have different ways to ensure that you get the service you request. We may therefore send your request to one or several of our Affiliated companies which are related to your enquiry. Submitting an enquiry on MiMove.com or contacting an Affiliated company through our website may therefore result in the information being passed on to such Affiliated companies. Affiliated companies have their own privacy policy and MiMove is not responsible for how Affiliated companies handle personal data.

Basis for processing personal data

The legal basis for our processing of personal data is that we shall be able to:

  • fulfil our agreements and engagements in relation to our products and services,
  • fulfil a legal obligation which we are subject to, or
  • fulfil a legitimate interest

One example of our engagements is that we need to store your email address in order for us to distribute our newsletter which you have signed up for, or for you to be able to save interesting property listings. As example of legitimate interest, we need to ensure that our products and services are as user friendly and relevant as possible. Therefore, we might contact you with information about new services and functionalities based on your previous use of our products and services. To decide whether it is a legitimate interest or not, there is a balancing of interests, e.g. between our interest and any opposing interest.

Sharing of personal data

MiMove will never sell personal data to anyone. However, we might share personal data with our carefully selected Affiliated Companies. If so, we will ensure the transfer of personal data while safeguarding your integrity. We will also comply with any legislation and order by legal authorities.

Where do we process personal data?

As a principal rule we will process personal data within the EU/EES. Should the personal data be processed outside of the EU/EES, we will ensure that the processing complies with the data protection legislation in EU/EES.

How long will we keep personal data?

MiMove will only keep personal data for as long as it is necessary to provide relevant products and services. Regulations from authorities may influence for how long data is being kept.
