Costa Tropical East

A local secret

If you leave Calahonda and drive towards Almeria, you will notice many plastic greenhouses which constitute one the main economic activities in Eastern Andalusia. At the same time, you will notice that the degree of touristic development seems smaller in the surroundings of this coastal area. However, if you look carefully, you can find stunning sea views and small beaches and coves that, with some luck, you may have for yourself alone. They are small local secrets that only the local natives know. Not so unknown, but difficult to access, is the Playa del Ruso (now a naturist beach), a few kilometers from La Rábita. This is a small cove where you can enjoy a refreshing swim while completely avoiding the touristic crowds. In fact, you can only reach this location by foot, crouching while walking through a tunnel. If you decide to buy a property in the Eastern Tropical Coast, you may not find so many real estate opportunities, but this is definitely where you should look if you prefer some isolation over the more touristy and massive locations. To buy a property in Castell de Ferro, La Marmola or La Rábita, which area villages that keep their charm and authenticity, can be a good option if you are looking for a paradise right by the sea.
