Costa Brava is the northernmost part of the Spanish coastline. It starts at the border with France and continues down to Barcelona. If you find a property for sale in Costa Brava and decide to make it your home, you will never be bored. You can go to France or Barcelona or explore the numerous small coastal towns, visit the Salvador Dali Museum and pay a visit to the “Blue Paradise”. Famous artists, Salvador Dali and Marc Chagall were both in love with Costa Brava. Marc Chagall even called the town Tossa de Mar “Blue Paradise”. Costa Brava is a popular weekend destination for people of Barcelona to get away from the busy city life, take a swim in the turquoise waters and day dream in one of the narrow alleys. Along the coast, you will find coastal towns like pearls on a neckless. Some are a little more developed than others where the old fishing atmosphere is preserved. The coastline offers big contrasts. The peninsula, Cap de Creus for example, located in north eastern Catalonia, 250 kilometres south of the border with France offers a barren, almost moon-like landscape. The rocky, weather beaten terrain is exceptional and the entire area is deemed a national park. Not a lot can grow here, and the landscape is in stark contrast to the rest of the coast where the terrain is more fertile and rolling in appearance.
