Platja d´Aro

The preferred family destination

Platja d'Aro is a very idyllic coastal town originally a fishing village. Today, it is a lively town with focus on tourism meaning there is always something to do. Above all, the town attracts families and have been awarded the mark “Catalan Official Family Holiday Destination”, a certificate only given to 19 towns. You will not regret your decision to go looking for a property for sale in Platja d'Aro. It is an all year-round town and the proximity to Barcelona means there are always things to do, even on days with poorer weather. And that does happen from time to time, Platja d'Aro is, after all, situated on Costa Brava, the wild coast. The weather can be really wild sometimes during the winter months. But if you just hang in there the sun will soon come back and everything will be back to normal. When the weather is nice, we recommend a walk along the Camino de Ronda de S’Agaro. That is the very beautiful coastal path connecting Sant Pol to the coves Sa Conca de S’Agaro. Just three kilometres from Platja d’Aro and the coast we will find the old town of Xastell Platja d’Aro built around the old castle. Why not take a stroll, down cobbled streets, take a drink in one of the idyllic squares and do some people watching? Or why not engage in some culture activities like a visit to the medieval castle Benedormien’s church Santa Maria. Should you decide to go looking for a property for sale in Platja d’Aro, you have chosen one of the most vibrant and beautiful places on Costa Brava.
