How to enjoy the beach without leaving the city

Cádiz, capital of the province, is the ideal place for those who seek their summers of sun and beach without having to forego the cultural offer available in any big city. In fact, for those who love history, Cádiz is a very special place: those who have decided to buy their home in Cádiz will be living in the oldest city in Europe, since it was founded by the Phoenicians in the year 1100 a.c. A walk through the impressive old town and a visit to the magnificent Archaeological Museum of Cádiz will make for a unique historical journey.

The city centre is an island in itself, with its geographical limitations, a fact that has allowed real estate prices to continuously grow since Phoenician times. In addition, tourist rentals in recent years have increased to unheard of levels, so today Cádiz capital is the fifth most expensive city in Spain, in terms of real estate prices. This does not mean that the international buyer will not find good real estate opportunities in Cádiz city, especially if we compare them with similar offers in Marbella or other locations on the Costa del Sol. The main reason to want to buy a property in Cadiz is to enjoy its urban offer, along with immediate access to amazing beaches and great communications by train and ferry or via the nearby airport of Jerez de la Frontera. Cádiz also offers a lively nightlife, great seafood and fish restaurants, and bars for all tastes. Let's add to this a wide cultural offer, with museums and the Gran Teatro Falla theatre where you can attend complete program of concerts and plays throughout the year. What else could you want? Well, you can enjoy in February one of the most famous and particular carnivals in Spain, which has generated its own musical style (chirigotas, comparsas and quartets). But this would not be a reason to look for a property for sale in Cádiz if we did not find here the best beaches, with all facilities and awards. Among them, we can highlight the beach of La Caleta (with a magnificent view and located between two castles), or Victoria and Cortadura beaches. Come to Cádiz and take advantage of its beaches and its exciting cultural and nightlife. And should you do not find the place of your dreams in this island city, you can also expand your offer in the neighboring towns of San Fernando and Puerto Real.
