Conil de la Frontera

The hideout of the German community

Conil de la Frontera is surely one of the towns with more touristic development on Costa de la Luz. A simple seaside cluster of 20,000 inhabitants like Barbate or Zahara that makes a living from tuna fishing. In recent years, this town has become a true magnet for national and European tourism, multiplying by five its population in the summer. There are plenty of reasons to spend a summer in Conil (or buy a house and settle permanently). Among them, there are impressive beaches and cliffs, a wonderful gastronomy or its vibrant nightlife, which offers excellent culinary options for families or massive parties for those who do not want to put limits to the night.

The discovery of Conil in the late nineties by a growing German expatriate community was the necessary fuel for the globalization of the Costa de la Luz. Since then, the connection via low cost flights from the airport of Jerez de la Frontera with the main German and British cities has allowed the entry of new German, British and also Belgian visitors. Conil is an ideal option for the international visitor who wants to buy a property in Costa de la Luz. Here you can let time pass in quiet winters and springs next to the sea, while enjoying the local cuisine and an astonishing view of the cliffs. If summers in Conil are too much for your taste, you can always rent your place during these months at a good premium. And those who would prefer to buy a house in Conil at the high end of the spectrum should stop by the luxurious urbanization Roche. This a privileged place with its own beach and surrounded by beautiful coves (Cala del Pato, Cala del Frailecillo, Cala del Aspero...), every one of them with a special touch. Close to Roche you can find golf courses in Chiclana, Novo Sancti Petri and San Andrés which make this exclusive residential area even more attractive and unique.
