Murcia’s size and importance means that here you will find many of the amenities that you could find in Madrid or Barcelona. Shopping? In Murcia you can spend your afternoons in two large shopping malls, one outlet mall, one El Corte Inglés, a full sized Apple Center, and you may even dine your meatballs at an Ikea center. Entertainment? Pick your favorite movie at 3 cinema multiplexes or, if your Spanish is up to par, go watch a play at Teatro Romea or Teatro Circo Murcia. Good communications? The high speed train AVE will be available at Murcia’s train station in 2020, and you also have the international airport at San Javier. Gof? How about 22 excellent fields? Great cuisine? Murcia is certainly the place to please your gourmand side. If you want to splurge, then head on to 3 Michelin star restaurant Cabaña Buenavista. But if this out of the world experience is out of your pocket, you are still in luck since Murcia is one of the best places in Spain to go for a fabulous tapas-hopping trip. Places like La Tapa, Bar los Zagales or La Cueva del Oso should not be missed.
